Douglas Glenn Hocker, 55 of Frisco, Texas went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 19, 2019 after a long illness. He was surrounded by his wife and daughters who he loved dearly.

He was born on March 18, 1964 in Dallas, Texas to John Wesley and Gwendolyn Joy Hocker. He grew up in Longview, Texas where he graduated from Pine Tree High School in 1982. He attended Stephen F. Austin State University and graduated with a Bachelor in Computer Science in 1988. He married Cindy Sloan on March 16, 1991 and recently celebrated their 28th anniversary. He has two beautiful daughters, Allison and Macy ages 16 and 14 years who he adored.

Doug worked as a computer programmer /analyst for 30 years and most recently was the IT Director for Coldwater Technology in Dallas. Doug remained close friends with his first boss and co-worker over the years. He also had a close circle of childhood friends that he liked spending time with, and was very loyal to his friends. Doug loved camping with his family, hunting, traveling and was the ultimate cook at grilling out. He enjoyed projects around the house and was called “Wizard” by his daughter because he could fix anything. Doug liked to spend time as a child at his grandfather’s farm in Frisco. Doug had wonderful memories to share from his childhood. He would fix things around the house for his grandmother, even as a small child. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Frisco.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Cindy of Frisco; children, Allison Nicole Hocker and Macy Lynn Hocker of Frisco; brother, John Wesley Hocker Jr., and wife Nancy Jones Hocker of Tyler, brother-in laws Keith Sloan and wife Debbie from Longview, Gregg Sloan from Longview, mother in law, Alice Nobles of Longview and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
