Services for David Kyle Herberger, 46, of Longview, Texas, were held on Saturday, July 25, 2009, at Lakeview Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Wayne Spanhanks from First Baptist Church in Spring Hill, Texas, officiating. Mr. Herberger was born January 21, 1963, in Corpus Christi, Texas, and died July 23, 2009, in Longview, Texas.

David served in the US Air Force. He was a Registered Nurse and specialized in the care of cardiac patients. He spent many years as a traveling nurse. He had a desire to see the world which led him to many European countries as well as most of the Caribbean and Hawaiian Islands.

David and Ann became engaged on top of the Eiffel Tower and were married one year later on July 14, 1994, in the Virgin Islands. David was a loving and devoted father to his son, Travis, who was born in 1999, and brought him so much joy.

He was preceded in death by his father, Delmar Herberger. He is survived by his wife, Ann; and son,Travis; his mother, Patricia Herberger; brother, Daryl Herberger; brother, Bryan Herberger and his wife Gayla; sister, Deanna Herberger Lee and her husband David; and nieces, Abbie and Alyson Herberger; all of Longview.
