Shane Jenkins

Services for Shane Jenkins, 42, Tyler, will be held 10 a.m. Monday at Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Ford of Bethel Baptist Church officiating.

Burial will follow in Old Palestine Cemetery near Alto. Visitation will be Sunday, Aug. 27, 2006, at Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home, 215 East Front Street in Tyler.

Mr. Jenkins died Aug. 22, 2006, in Florida of a work related accident.

He was born Feb. 12, 1964, in Garland. He attended Robert E. Lee High School and Pine Tree High School, where he graduated with Honorable Mention in the State of Texas for Middle Linebacker. Shane lived life to the fullest and there was never a dull moment when in his company. Everyone who knew him was touched by him. He has left us with memories of love, happiness and laughter.

Survivors include Stephanie Jenkins, mother of his daughter, Mackenzie Jenkins of Tyler; stepfather, Grady Stewart and mother Larie Stewart of Tyler; brothers, Doug Jenkins of Frankston, Wes Jenkins of Donie; sister, Kristie Broyles of Canton; four stepbrothers, Gary Stewart of Tyler, Kevin Stewart of Bryan, Dean Stewart of Tyler, Darin Stewart of Houston; stepsister, Elaine Richardson of Jonesboro, Ga.; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Chris Jenkins, Casey Jenkins, Kevin Stewart, Dean Stewart, Darin Stewart and Bruce Sydow.
